This seven-day training retreat explores the basic elements of Breathwork workshops: group process, intensified breathing, evocative music, focused bodywork, and expressive drawing. We will discuss the history of depth psychology and its culmination in Transpersonal Psychology as a crucial backdrop.
Format: We will spend the first three days as a training group of about 16 people, with morning teaching and afternoon breathwork sessions. The next three days will then be spent hosting a public weekend workshop, consisting of about 20 additional participants. Some trainees will have an opportunity to shadow a certified facilitator during the public weekend workshop, allowing for direct application of their training experience. On our final day together we will debrief, reflect, and discuss additional aspects of our weeklong experience together. Participants will have an opportunity to “breathe” and to “sit” or hold space for their partner during four sessions scheduled throughout the week. We will also discuss the theory and practice of holotropic breathwork, as well as engaging in group sharing and processing after each Breathwork session.

Location: This event will be held at the historic Brandon Inn near Green Mountain National Forest in Brandon, VT. Please plan to arrive Tuesday afternoon, November 10, between 2:30 to 5:00 PM and depart midday on Tuesday, November 17.
It’s important to be present for the full duration of the workshop because of the preparation, closure and integration required to support the breathwork experience.
Fee: The full cost of the workshop weekend, including the workshop as well as meals and lodging at The Brandon Inn varies from $1710 to $1760, depending on the room option you select when you register. For local participants who wish to commute, the fee for the workshop and meals is $1205. If your commute would be more than 30 minutes or so, we recommend staying at The Brandon Inn because the workshop schedule is pretty full, with days running from about 9 AM to 9 PM.
