Seven-Day Training: Group Process and Holotropic Breathwork, September 10-17, 2024
Group dynamics represent a largely subtle aspect of Holotropic Breathwork, but they are fundamental to its process and require a facilitator’s very careful attention. This seven-day training retreat will consider how groups work and how to manage them effectively in the context of Holotropic Breathwork. We will explore the history and various instances of group process, as well as practical details of their use. Breathwork sessions will offer participants opportunities for developing the self-understanding required for facilitating group process. We will host a public weekend workshop as part of this training to provide additional experience with group work in the Breathwork setting.

The training retreat will be led by Lenny and Elizabeth Gibson, Jace Langone, Alex Paré and Lindsey Owens of Dreamshadow Group. Information about us is available here. We will spend the first three days as a training group of about 18 people, with morning teaching and afternoon breathwork sessions. The next three days will then be spent hosting a public weekend workshop, consisting of about 26 additional participants. On our final day together we will debrief, reflect, and discuss additional aspects of our group process experience, including its potential for  building community that supports us in our everyday lives.

It’s important to be present for the full duration of the workshop because of the preparation, closure and integration required to support the  breathwork experience.

Format and Cost: This event will be held at the Pendle Hill Retreat Center in Wallingford, PA (Philadelphia area). The fee is $1,575, which includes the training, and food and lodging for the seven days at Pendle Hill.
